How to take care of your dog or cat with Google tools

Pets occupy a special place in families and that is why their care and attention is an absolute priority for their loved ones. In this sense, Google offers some alternatives in its applications to organise their priorities that can be quite useful.
From keeping an eye on where you are to calling your pets’ vet, the technological giant allows you to configure its programmes to help your pets’ wellbeing. Here are some of the most interesting examples it offers.
Although you need to buy a Google Nest camera for this, just by using the Google Home app you can see and control different areas of your home. Some options include turning up or down the volume of a speaker, turning on lights or even checking where your pet is in the house.
Google Maps allows you to save selected places. It is important to know which places you can take a pet to, mainly to avoid inconveniences once you get there. In this case, Google Maps can be of some use, as it allows you to save places in a personalised list.
To do this, you have to tap on the place you want to mark. The «How to get there» tab will appear; to the right of it, look for the «Save» option. When you click there, the «Save to a list» sign will appear; you can add it to a pre-existing list or create one from scratch. To review your saved lists, you can go to the «Saved» menu at the top of the app.

🌱 SUSTAINABILITY

Respect for nature and a future with more happy footprints.

At Mas Torrencito we are not only the first pet-friendly rural house that accepts people 🐶🏡, we are also a house that beats to the rhythm of the planet. Our commitment is clear: to care for nature, reduce our impact and demonstrate that rural tourism and sustainability can go hand in hand.

Here, every bark is mixed with the energy of the sun and every dip in the pool has behind it an effort to keep our environment clean and alive.

♻️ Our green commitment

  • Renewable energy: we have a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system, Fronius inverter and BYD batteries ⚡️, so that most of what you consume comes directly from the sun.
  • Energy autonomy: more than 40 kWh in batteries that allow us to make the most of every ray.
  • Back-up gas generator (cleaner than diesel) for cloudy days.
  • Energy efficiency: LED lighting, sensors, timers and intelligent systems that avoid waste.
  • Aerothermal and DHW: heating and hot water with lower consumption and smaller footprint.
  • Responsible water: own well, water softener, salt chlorinator in the swimming pool and control systems to optimise expenditure.
  • Recycling and composting: separation of waste and use of organic waste to give life to the land.
  • Local products: whenever possible, we prioritise local suppliers, KM0 and environmentally friendly.
  • Sustainable mobility: charging point for electric vehicles 🚗⚡️, so that you can come with your electric car and leave with a full battery.

🐾 Tourism with a conscience

We know that every gesture adds up. That’s why, as well as offering a unique place where dogs and people live together in freedom and harmony, we encourage our guests to join in caring for the planet: turning off lights and air conditioning when leaving, taking care of the water, respecting natural spaces and supporting local commerce.

At Mas Torrencito, we believe that the future will be sustainable or it won’t be. And we want our footprints – human and doggy – to leave a beautiful, clean and green legacy. 🌍💚🐕
