Yes, here were none other than Nicole Kidman and Antonio Banderas, shooting a commercial that promises to be spectacular. And look out for the fact: they took advantage of their appearance at the Gaudí Awards gala to bring them together here and shoot this very special project. But here’s the catch: I can’t reveal which brand the ad is for. 🙊 But they have given me permission to tell you how it all went and, above all, to tell you about the real stars of the shoot: Mastitwo, Masto, Maky and Mamas. What happened with them is worthy of a movie! 🎥😂
International stars… and dog stars 🐕✨
The Gaudi Awards gala had already been a glamorous and cinematic event, but the real show began later, when Nicole and Antonio, still energized from the night before, arrived on set for the shoot. Amidst producers running around, assistants carrying spotlights, cameras everywhere and a thousand logistical details, our four dogs decided it was their moment to shine. Imagine: while Nicole and Antonio were going over scripts, Mastitwo, Masto, Maky and Mamas were walking around as if they owned the set. And no wonder, because they won the hearts of the whole team.
A literary aside with Antonio Banderas ✍️📚
In the middle of one of the breaks, while Antonio was petting Masto (his new best friend, in case it wasn’t already clear), we chatted for a while. 😂), we got to chatting for a while. I’m not sure how the subject came up, but I ended up telling him that in the mornings I have a little routine: writing stories. Sometimes they are anecdotes of everyday life, other times more amusing or surrealistic things. Antonio, with that natural sympathy that characterizes him, was curious and asked me more about it.
Hours later, when I least expected it, he approached me between takes. «Do you really write all those stories you were talking about? Because some of the ones you told me sound really good and really funny,» he said with a smile. I was a little shocked, but that wasn’t the end of it. Then he added, «Maybe I’ll call you sometime so we can work together on developing one of those stories. They have potential!» 😱.
Imagine my face. Antonio Banderas, taking an interest in my writing. It was a moment as unexpected as it was incredible. And who knows… maybe one of these days he’ll see me collaborating with him. Wouldn’t that be incredible?
Nicole Kidman and Mastitwo: A movie crush 🎬🐾
Nicole, impeccable as always, was absolutely delighted with Mastitwo. So much so that she even joked about taking him home. «This dog has more presence than many actors I’ve worked with,» she said with a laugh. Nicole kept cuddling him between takes. Mastitwo, of course, enjoyed all the attention like a true diva. 🐾👑
Maky, the territory marking expert 🐕😂
On the other hand, Maky didn’t pass up the opportunity to show his «character». He decided it was his duty to mark every tripod, chair and box on the set. 🤦♀️ Despite the laughter and the occasional wet shoe, the technicians couldn’t resist his charm.
Masto and Antonio: Love at first sight 😍🐶
The relationship between Masto and Antonio Banderas was worthy of a romantic script. From the first meeting, Masto did not stop licking his face, and Antonio did not stop laughing. «This dog understands me better than many people,» he commented with his characteristic humor. In the end, Antonio and Masto even shared a room – a full-fledged bromance! 🎥😂
Mamas, the intrepid laundry in Nicole’s suite 🐾👀
And then there’s Mamas, who starred in one of the most surreal anecdotes of the shoot. She managed to sneak into Nicole Kidman’s suite along with Mastitwo. When they found them, they were so comfortable that they seemed to own the place. Nicole, far from being annoyed, welcomed them with delight: «They are the best roommates I’ve had in a long time».
The set, an amusement park for the furry ones 🐾🎉
The shooting was intense, but there was also room for laughter and relaxation. In the evenings, after filming, we would gather in the chillout of the set. There, under the stars, we shared beers, music and many anecdotes. The dogs played non-stop, while Antonio and Nicole relaxed after the long days. It was a magical moment that we will never forget. 🌌🍺
An unforgettable farewell 🥹💖
When it was time to say goodbye, rather than saying goodbye to us, the crew went all out for the dogs. Producers, technicians, assistants… everyone gave them caresses, hugs and selfies, and they became the real stars of the shoot!

I can’t say which brand the ad was for (mystery, mystery! 🤐), but what I can say is that it was a unique experience, full of unforgettable moments and with very special protagonists, both human and furry. Thanks to Producciones ZXY for taking advantage of the Gaudí gala to make this a reality and for allowing us to experience something so magical.
Who needs Hollywood when you can have all this at home? 😉 And who knows… maybe in the future, Antonio and I will end up developing a story together. 📝✨
The end… and the awakening
After incredible days, laughter, beers in the chillout and magical moments, everything seemed like a dream. And it was.
Suddenly, I woke up. I was at my desk, with a half-empty coffee cup and an agenda full of reminders. There was the reality: quarterly tax returns, pending payments, and the eternal to-do list. The dogs were still with me, but this time there were no spotlights or Hollywood stars. Just a mountain of papers and bills waiting for me. 😩
The good thing is that, even on the most routine days, dreaming doesn’t cost anything. What if one day Antonio really calls me? 🤔
In the meantime… for taxes. 😅
